BMC prize bike winner

In RIDE #70, published in December 2015, we ran a subscription promotion in conjunction with BMC and the brand’s Australian distributors, Advanced Traders.

Readers who subscribed to RIDE before 11 March 2016 (or those who were already subscribers) went in a prize draw for a $6,999 BMC teammachine SLR02 (click here for RIDE‘s review of the SLR02 from Issue #68).

The draw recently took place at RIDE HQ and we are pleased to say that Christine, a 47-year-old woman from Perth, is the lucky winner.

When we contacted her and told her the news, she explained some of her riding history and although she very much enjoys her cycling, she’s been without a bike for several months.

“I recently went on a trip and sold a lot of my things,” Christine, a sports massage therapist, told us. “I’ve been wanting to get another bike again soon.

“My husband rides and I love to as well but I’ve been busy with my business and simply haven’t gotten around to it yet.

“Now I don’t have to. I’m so excited to win. The BMC is the perfect bike for me.”

Her details were passed on and Advanced Traders have offered an update on when Christine can expect delivery of her fabulous prize.

“The store and Christine have both been contacted [and her] order has been placed. The bike will be sent to Bikeforce Cannington and they will assemble it for her.”

The prize bike is “designed for those looking for the performance synonymous with the teammachine SLR01, as it shares the podium-proven geometry and BMC’s own proprietary ACE technology to achieve a balanced ride quality”.

It will be presented to Christine with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 ensemble.

She has promised to send photos and a brief review once she’s been able to get out for a few rides.

Congratulations to Christine and a big thanks to BMC, Advanced Traders and, of course, all our subscribers for your continued support of our magazine.
