Lapierre Aircode – bike test RIDE 67

Lapierre Aircode – bike test RIDE 67

The Lapierre Aircode 900 was labelled “one of the best looking bikes we’ve had through the office” by more than one staff member at RIDE. It is one of the five bikes on test in RIDE #67. The red on red paint scheme is what provides the instant appeal but the ride quality was also highly lauded by each person who rode it during the test period.

The review of the Lapierre Aircode 900 was done by Shane Lovejoy. (Buy RIDE #67 and see p.192 for the full review.)

Note: all bikes on test in RIDE Cycling Review are subjected to a number of testing protocols including: the ‘Build Report’, ‘Round Table Discussion’, the three-page review itself, a full spec sheet – including weights of each component (taken by RIDE’s in-house mechanic, not repeated from marketing material)… and, of course, a full session in the photo studio.

Although the tests in the magazine are comprehensive, we also offer a host of online extras once the print edition is on sale, including a photo gallery and voice files from the ‘Round Table Discussion’ day…

  • So, @nathanpeterhaas wears the green jersey in stage 3. But only as caretaker.
Points classification is led by Caleb with Peter Sagan ranked second.
But, a relatively recent rule change means that world or national champions can opt out of wearing a classification jersey... if THEY are a caretaker (ie. not leader). Clear?
  • Good to see @calebewan back@in@the #TDU leader’s jersey.
Hear our interview with him on the TDU @soundcloud station.
