To enter, all readers had to do was subscribe to RIDE Cycling Review for at least a year (or be a current subscriber).

The prize draw was conducted in the RIDE Media office at 3.00pm on Tuesday 13 September and the winner is Colin Richards of Newtown, Queensland.

Congratulations Colin, you’ll soon receive all the elements of a new bike (which, of course, we’ll arrange to have built for you) and a collection of cycling kit.

When we notified Colin of his win he was enjoying a holiday with his wife. “I’ve got to admit,” he confessed over the phone, “I’m close to crying because I’m so happy. I’ve never won anything big before but this is an amazing prize.

“Thanks to everyone at RIDE and Monza for making me a very happy person.”

Colin’s son Thomas was a member of the Australian team for the 2009 junior world championship in Russia. And Colin explained that he has been a cycling enthusiast “well, since around the early 1970s when me and my two brothers first started riding”.
