Jarrod Partridge was in Burrrumbeet today. He took his camera. And all around him men and women on fast bikes sped past. He took some photos.
He caught some great images of the competition on day one of the Australian road nationals.
While he drives back to Melbourne, he asked us to share some of what he saw today. Here’s a gallery of the time trials of the Australian road cycling championships by Jarrod Partridge.

PS. For those wondering about “the incident”, we have spoken to Rohan Dennis and this is a brief summary of what happened (full report tomorrow):
“About 12km in – I was told I was about 30 or 40 seconds out of Damien [Howson] at that stage… and then, uhm, about a kilometre-and-a-half before the first turn, this whirly-whirly came out of nowhere and the next minute I was on my arse sliding down the road.
“As soon as I realised it was there, I was on the ground.”
