“The Solace is a fun and comfortable endurance bike, perfect for long and hilly rides. It is able to sprint if asked, but prefers to take the long and steady route.”
The Scott Solace is the fifth of the five bikes on test in RIDE #68 (on sale now). It was reviewed by Philippe Cossey, a former racer and an enthusiastic cyclist who wrote his first piece for the magazine after a couple of weeks on the Scott.
“It is madness to think that this bike is so light it can hold its speed like this does,” writes Cossey. “To think that road bikes are made which are this quick and comfy is truly exciting. There’s a lot to praise but a reference has to go to price: $7,600 is a fair investment, clearly the value of the Aussie dollar is having an impact on the bike trade.”
Here we present the online extras for the Scott Solace 10, a comfortable bike with a few interesting inclusions.
