In this, the eighth instalment of our online WorldTour bikes features for 2016, we give you a closer look at the new version of Scott’s Foil as used by Matteo Pelucchi of IAM Cycling.

Three bike brands have sponsorship agreements with multiple teams in the WorldTour: Canyon (Katusha and Movistar), Specialized (Astana, Etixx-Quickstep and Tinkoff) and Scott (IAM Cycling and Orica-GreenEdge).

It took a little while for the new frame to make its way into the peloton and, early in 2016, the other Scott-sponsored team (OGE) was still using the 2015 version.

“IAM is the only team using DT Swiss wheels (with RWS ratchet skewers at the front, but not the rear – interestingly, the mechanics say that it’s difficult to effect a fast rear wheel change as the levers tend to get in the way).”
