‘Why Ride?’ – Stories with answers

Since the second issue of RIDE Cycling Review, there has often been a section in the magazine posing the simple question: ‘Why ride?’ It’s a chance to explain the reasons for cycling. In RIDE #61, John Deering ponders the growth of this activity in the United Kingdom. Is it the legacy of the London Olympics that lures people to the bike? Ah, sort of… but there’s a lot more to it. Over the years we have interviewed myriad people from all walks of life and asked their reasons for cycling. Politicians, athletes from other sports, business men, a fashion designer, an opera singer, a celebrity chef… they all have their reasons.

Below is a summary of some of these features from previous issues. Over the coming months, we’ll publish some of these stories online to remind you that there are many answers to a simple question. (If you have you own answer, share your story.)
