Before setting off for the workshop to build the new bike, we take a look at some of the bits and pieces that will marry up with the Focus Cayo frame. This is going to be my first bike with SRAM – and the choice, while not exactly cheap, is an obvious one: Red eTap, with wireless shifting. Of course!

Already in my collection are bikes with Campagnolo and Shimano; now it’s time to add one that includes braking and shifting (and a few other things) by SRAM.

This is the ‘unboxing’ of the Red eTap parts.
