The third test bike for RIDE #71 is Argon 18’s Nitrogen which features some Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 as TRP direct-mount brake callipers. We take you inside the workshop to get some photos that aren’t often published in bike tests.

As regular readers know, the Build Report offers an insight into particular aspects of a bike that may not be referenced by a rider.

And although certain things – like the unique stem configuration for the Nitrogen – will be noticed from the photos, a big part of the story is how all the parts come together.

“Building this bike was intuitive and a lot of fun,” said Jack Lynch of the Argon 18. “There is a headset manual which helped ensure it was configured correctly but everything else was up to the builder and it proved to be straightforward. The only detraction was the way the cable was clamped in the caliper which could be a nuisance to service as the cables age.”

In the meantime, here are 28 photos from the workshop to give you an inside perspective of the Nitrogen, a most interesting bike indeed!
