The second of the five test bikes in RIDE 74 is the Johnson Riddler AR. This is a stylish, aerodynamic road bike that features a direct-mount front brake, hidden rear brake (ie. off the seat stays and the caliper nestled down on the chainstays, behind the bottom bracket).
‘Johnson’ is a bike brand created by Ben Johnson. The former professional rider lives on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and he’s putting his design skills and knowledge of bikes to good use with a selection of boutique products – including the Johnson frames and Featherlight wheels.
The ‘Riddler’ was reviewed by new staff member, team pursuit world champion Luke Davison.
