For a second day in a row, the Orica-GreenEdge team picked up a stage win in the Jayco-Herald Sun Tour; this time it was Caleb Ewan ahead of Steele von Hoff in a sprint… but the real talking point is the accident of Brenton Jones from Drapac. Within sight of the line, the young Victorian found himself flying through the air before landing with a thud. He was taken to hospital, missing lots of skin and with suspected broken ribs.
