There’s a buzz about track cycling at the moment. The nationals are currently being contested on the Darebin International Sports Centre – the DISC velodrome, as it’s become known. (For results, visit Cycling Australia’s site.) On Saturday evening, Jack Bobridge will take on the world hour record and, judging by his efforts in the team pursuit on night two of the championships – when he was pulling three-lap turns as part of the Budget Forklifts quartet – he is going to go close to eclipsing the current mark of 51.852km.

Over the coming days, RIDE will be publishing images shot by Jarrod Partridge.
