Australia boasts one of the favourites for the title of the 105th edition. Richie Porte is the leader of his BMC Racing team and the Tasmanian is a genuine prospect for the win in 2018.

The 2018 Tour de France is on from 7-29 July and the route traces a clockwise course around France.

Starting in the Vendée region, the peloton will race through Brittany, up towards the Belgian border and rendezvous with the cobbled roads made famous by races like Paris-Roubaix. The entourage will then travel in a southerly direction towards the challenges of France’s two main mountain massifs – first up: the Alps, followed by a dramatic finale in the Pyrenees.
