RIDE #67 – in newsagents around Australia now – features our annual review of all the bikes ridden by teams in the UCI WorldTour. We weigh, measure, photograph and appraise each product and present it in a format that allows readers to see what tricks the team mechanics do to set the bike up for professional riders. We will be posting online galleries from each team throughout the on-sale period of the magazine.

The victory overnight by John Degenkolb in Milan-San Remo is as good a reason as any to have a look at the Propel bike used by the Giant-Alpecin team in 2015. The feature bike in RIDE #67 is actually that of another German sprinter on the team, Marcel Kittel. There is a long history of sponsorship with this team and the Japanese component manufacturer Shimano – which, until 2015, had naming-rights to what had been a Dutch registered team. In 2015, it’s German and Shimano has been replaced by a shampoo company in the title… but that’s another story.
