Trek-Segafredo has the same opportunity to customise its bikes as Trek’s consumers. The stock team bikes are red but occasionally riders will race on a Project One model Domane, Emonda, or in this case, Madone. Australian champion Jack Bobridge was been seen racing on this green and yellow (or rather, green and gold) Madone at the start of the season. He has since reverted to the trusty ‘viper red’ team colour but his component selection remains the same – Shimano and Bontrager (with Veloflex tyres).
The team has a unique opportunity to ride on a complete suite of products from one manufacturer. Trek’s parts and apparel brand, Bontrager supplies the wheels, saddle and bar tape. Specific Trek ‘Madone’ bars, seat mast and brakes are all necessary to form a sleek and aero package.
