Jack Haig was third on GC in the 2021 Vuelta a España after crashing out of his debut Tour de France in stage three only a few months earlier. He plans to return to Le Tour in 2022 for some unfinished business…

– An interview by Rob Arnold

This long video interview is presented in its entirety. A wide range of topics are discussed in what is essentially a getting-to-know-Jack opportunity. The catalyst for the conversation was to find out how Jack Haig’s preparation for his second Tour de France appearance is going.

The campaign proper begins this week. In a few days, he’ll move from his house in La Massana, Andorra – which is at an altitude of around 1,200m – and base himself a little higher up the mountain (at around 2,000 metres).

A little later in May, he’ll join his Bahrain Victorious team-mates and stay at Teide for a training camp before a final bout of racing in advance of the TDF (1-24 July).

This is an interesting chat that allowed me to get to know a little bit about Jack; where he lives, how he trains, what his aspirations are, who is likely to be in his team for the 2022 Tour de France and a whole lot more.

I hope you enjoy watching the interview as much as I enjoyed recording it.
