Miles Scotson went on the attack in stage four of the 2019 Tour Down Under, a race which happened to be on his 25th birthday, and finish near his family home.

“The be honest, you need to hit the bottom of Corkscrew with a two-minute gap,“ said Miles Scotson on his 25th birthday, the day that stage four of the 21st Tour Down Under finished close to his family home.

“I knew we were going to get caught but I think we were still pretty happy to get to that stage.

“Richie Porte came up to me at the end and said, ‘I thought you guys were going to stay away today.’ It sounded like the peloton had to ride really hard.”
