In part one of another extended episode of the #TalkingCycling series of interviews, Alex Dowsett talks about the ordeal of trying to find a team, the joy of the new partnership with Israel Start-Up Nation, and generally covers some other elements of the cycling life that aren’t often discussed by professional athletes in such honesty.

This interview was recorded after stage two of the 2020 Tour Down Under, the debut race for the first Israeli-registered WorldTour cycling team – Adelaide Hilton, South Australia. 23 January 2020.

This interview will be presented in three parts:

1. Dowsett – the end of Katusha-Alpecin and arrival at Israel Start-Up Nation

2. Racing as a pro cyclist with haemophilia…

3. Talking about time trials, the hour record, cycling equipment… and his education.
