Mount Buller
Tourist Road Open

The official snow season is from June to October. Caution is advised for riders who opt to visit during the cooler months — because of ice on the road and also the fog that can be particularly thick can make cyclists difficult to spot.

Distance: From Mansfield — 95km, from Mount Buller Tourist Office — 32km.

Difficulty: Average gradient — six per cent. Max gradient — 13 per cent.

Notes: A shuttle runs from Mirimbah to the summit four times per day on weekends for riders staying in the resort. The last service leaves at 4.30pm and a trip costs $13. (Bring a cloth to protect carbon crank arms from the bike carrier.)
