In the days leading up to the 2014 Tour de France the Orica-GreenEdge team has suffered two major setbacks. On Wednesday it was announced that one of the GC leaders of last year’s race, Daryl Impey, had to content with the fall-out of a positive doping control from February. A day earlier, Michael Matthews crashed and ultimately put his debut in the great race on hold for at least another year. On the eve of the opening stage of the 101st Tour, RIDE’s Rob Arnold spoke with the Australian team’s owner, Gerry Ryan, to get his take on these stories… and more.
