On a day of immense sadness in the Sydney cycling community, it seemed appropriate to visit Heffron Park for the final of the famous Tuesday evening ‘Summer Series’, a criterium that allows riders to showcase their talent mid-week and give a little exposure for sponsors who are committed to the local scene.

More than anything though, it’s a reminder of what bike racing is all about. It’s engaging, fun, fast, and something some are lucky enough to be able to do with mates.
