While Kaden Groves was celebrating his first win in the Giro d’Italia an incident caused by a touch of wheels was playing out behind him.
Stefano Sirotti captured a sequence of images as the crash involving Mark Cavendish, Filippo Fiorelli, David Dekker, Mirco Maestri and Andrea Vendrame as they came to a halt in dramatic style.
