Inside Nearly Two Decades of Team Netcompany INEOS Race Bikes

Looking back at the history of the British-Italian relationship

Rob Arnold 01.07.2026

We’re kicking off what will become a long-running series looking back at the bikes raced by Tour de France teams over the past two decades.

First up is the team now known as Netcompany INEOS. Before that it was INEOS Grenadiers, and before that, Team Sky. Despite the changes in name, one thing remained constant throughout the team’s rise to Grand Tour dominance: Pinarello.

From the early Dogma models through to today’s race bikes, the Italian manufacturer has been alongside the British squad for seven Tour de France victories, making it one of the most successful partnerships in modern cycling.

Throughout July we’ll be adding more galleries showcasing how the bikes of the Tour de France peloton have evolved over the past 20 years.

NOTE: 2020 is missing from this series. (The search for that file continues.)
