Earlier this week Bianchi launched the new iteration of its Oltre road bike line-up. The original price guide has been revised after the company noted “a glitch in the system that captured pricing from EU and converting in the wrong way”.

A day after the unveiling of the new Bianchi Oltre range RIDE Media published an article questioning the costings of the complete bike range in Australia, with options for the new Oltre RC equipped with SRAM Red, Campagnolo Super-Record and Shimano Dura-Ace listed at AUD$29,749, AUD$28,999 and AUD$27,199, respectively.

Bianchi has been in contact to explain that there was “a glitch in the system that captured pricing from EU and converting in the wrong way” and so here is an update on the RRP of the same bikes, which is considerably less expensive even if it is not quite as dramatic as the original release suggested.

Bianchi’s Australian agent also explained that the updated price list is now also “reflected on the company website”.

Here are the revised costings:

  • Bianchi Oltre RC with SRAM Red 12-speed: AUD$29,749 AUD$24,599
  • Bianchi Oltre RC with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 12-speed: AUD$28,999 AUD$23,999
  • Bianchi Oltre RC with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-speed: AUD$27,199 AUD$22,549

Furthermore, the Australian Bianchi agent has also provided the price list for the rest of the revised Oltre range that is expected to available in Australia “before the end of the year” albeit in “limited stock”.
