Last year Spoken featured a collective of bike builders from around the world showing off their latest creations in Melbourne. In 2025, Spoken is coming to Sydney for the first time. Held in the stunning and easy-to-accessCarriageworks ‘creative hub’ next to Redfern train station, it’s a great opportunity to see some true cycling exotica and talk to the people behind the brands.

What’s it all about?

Look, touch, talk, and get inspired to ride. That’s the basic premise of the Spoken event in Sydney (20-22 June). It’s a chance for the cycling industry to show off their latest creations and explain their innovations.

“Featuring the finest handmade, bespoke and premium bicycle, component and apparel brands from around the country and the world, SPOKEN is an opportunity to savour the craft, design, innovation and performance, celebrate the communities and enjoy the culture of the bicycle.”

When is it on?

There will be public and industry-only sessions between Friday 20 June and Sunday 22 June. Below is a summary of the schedule.

‘Spoken Word’ with Mitch Docker

Former pro rider Mitch Docker will be hosting a number of talks during Spoken 2025, with special guests joining him on stage for interviews and to offer insights into the cycling industry, design trends… and, of course, Life In The Peloton.

Grab a copy of Mitch’s book while you’re at the show and be sure to make time to listen to some of his on-stage interviews which, I’m pleased to announce, will also include a chat with me (Rob Arnold, publisher of RIDE Media) about my time in the cycling media game and what goes into the production of the ‘Tour Guide’ each June.

It’s not often that Sydney plays host to an event such as this so be sure to find some time to visit, soak up the atmosphere, and join like-minded people who have a passion for one of the finer things in life, bike riding… and the cycling life.
