There’s a virtual bike expo taking place: the ENVE Bike Builder Round-Up. Tune in to see lovely bicycles, built by hand, and find stories – including video interviews – about some fantastic creations.

Once-in-a-lifetime bikes are rare in 2020. It’s easy to get caught up in the buzz that surrounds new launches. The good bike just got better – lighter, more aero, more comfy. It does happen. Mainstream brand claims are true, but that doesn’t mean the same pitch won’t come at you again soon. We know the sequence: if it was good before, guess what…?

And so the industry rolls. We all take part in the game. And thankfully, we get to sample fine products that come in for review. It’s a privilege to have ridden many lovely bikes over the years, and understood the evolution of equipment and how it has improved.

Good bikes are getting better. But there’s also interesting bikes being built precisely to a customer’s specifications, with unique paintwork, and clever considerations.

Below is a tiny sample of what was on display at a recent ‘virtual gathering’: bike builders with titanium, steel, carbon, and creativity mixed with craftsmanship. Look at the photos, free the mind, see the details, appreciate the work. Dare to dream.

If you could, what would you create?
